You know it…..you LOVE it….so why not be IN IT?? That’s RIGHT, The Rocky Horror Show is RETURNING to the Aurora Arts Theatre stage this fall! Auditions are SOON! TRY OUT!

   

The Aurora Arts Theatre announces open auditions for their community theatre production of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, directed by Bryan Davis and choreographed by Angela Borrego. Auditions will be held Tuesday, July 26 and Wednesday, July 27 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Aurora Arts Theatre (5635 Everhart Road).  You may choose to attend one or both nights of auditions. This production will run from September 23-October 31, 2011. All roles are available (please see below for more information). For this audition, please be prepared to perform readings from the script, a choreographed dance (which you will learn on-site), and selections from the following songs (from the show): Late Night Double Feature and Rose Tint My World (Floorshow). You MAY also bring 16 bars of a song of your choice with your own backing music (no vocals; must be on CD or in mp3 format).

Due to the mature nature of this show, you must be 16 or older to audition (those under age 18 must receive parental consent).

Synopsis
The Rocky Horror Show is a risque tale of a couple who has car trouble and seeks refuge in an eerie mansion. They soon discover their host is a “sweet transvestite from Transylvania.”

There is LOTS to do tonight all around town! Check something out!

Rocky Horror Show

This is the last weekend for the Rocky Horror Show at the Aurora Arts Theater.  Tickets are going fast, so make sure you call ahead to reserve your tickets before you get dressed up and show up at the theater.  The number for the Aurora is:  361-851-9700.  Better yet, go to the Aurora’s website and order your tickets online (www.auroraartstheater.com).  Shows this weekend will be 7:00pm and 11:00pm.  Tickets are $14.00 each.  A goody bag is available for an additional $5.00 and includes everything you need for your audience participation (i.e. Glow Stick, Playing Card, Squirt Gun…).

So come on out to the Aurora and join us this Halloween Weekend!!
