Rockport Art Festival- July 2-3, 2011

The Rockport Art Festival is one of our personal favorites in the way of local festivals. We have found the quality of items to be second to none! You will find paintings, photographs, sculptures, ceramics and more!! Talent is coming from all over the great state of Texas and beyond for this festival and adding live music and children’s activities make it a fun family event! South Texas Music Walk of Fame Inductions!

Did you know Corpus Christi has our very own Music Walk of Fame? This attraction was originally revealed during Water Street Surf, Art and Music Festival but has now become a stand alone event! This weekend the Water Street Market will be alive with the sounds of music from our new inductees!

This year’s inductees include country music artist and songwriter Walt Wilkins, Americana duo The McKay Brothers, heavy metal superstar Jason McMaster — the first heavy metal inductee for the walk — Latin rock group Vallejo, Tejano star Lee Martinez Jr. and the late Henry Cuesta, a former jazz performer for the Lawrence Welk Orchestra. Concerts Friday and Saturday at Executive Surf Club feature performances by four of the inductees.
